Premature Tap (“we”, “us”) collects only what we need to run the game, operate the leaderboard, and fight abuse.

What we collect

Game profile: your chosen identity (First/Last or a social handle) and a 3-letter country code.
Scores: your attempt time, date, and ranking factors necessary to compute the daily leaderboard.
Device identifier: a cookie (pt_id) stored on your browser so we can enforce the one-play-per-day rule in Leaderboard mode.
Abuse prevention: a salted hash of your IP address to help detect spam/cheating; we do not store raw IPs in the leaderboard table.
Video (Leaderboard only): when you choose to share, we capture the game canvas to a short clip and convert it to MP4 on our server for easier sharing.
Referral parameters: if you arrive via a “Beat me” link, we may log non-sensitive referral codes (e.g., ?ref=handle).

Scores remain associated with your device identifier and display name/handle until you delete them.
Videos are stored for sharing and may be cleaned up periodically (e.g., short-term hosting).
Client-side keys we use: pt_id (cookie), pt_mode, pt_identity, and lastPlayDateCT (local storage).

We do not sell your personal data. We may use hosting/transcoding providers to convert and serve videos.

You can play in Practice mode without recording; Practice does not submit to the leaderboard.
You can request deletion of your leaderboard entries at Delete My Data.

The game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not play if you are under the applicable age.
